Description
The Manor is an early 18th-century building located on Main Street in Cropthorne. It is constructed of painted brick and has an L-shaped design with two storeys. The front features a regular arrangement of six sash windows with sills. The entrance is highlighted by a moulded wooden doorcase with Ionic columns that support an entablature and a curved open pediment. The doorcase includes panelled reveals and an eight-fielded panelled door topped with an enriched segmental fanlight. A stringcourse runs along the building, and the angle dressings have been restored. The roof is hipped and covered with old tiles, and there is an earlier timber frame wing at the rear. The Manor, along with The Old Post Office and Manor Cottage, forms a cohesive group of buildings.
