Description

This barn, located about 20 metres south of Cooksey Farmhouse, dates back to the 17th century and has undergone some alterations in the 20th century. It features a timber-frame construction with some brick infill and is partially weatherboarded, sitting on a sandstone plinth. The roof is made of corrugated asbestos. The barn consists of three framed bays aligned north to south, with a central threshing floor. The framing includes three square panels in height, straight tension braces, and all trusses have two queen struts supporting the collar.
