Description

This is a dovecote attached to the east side of Number 41, originally listed as Home Farmhouse, located on Main Street in Bretforton. The dovecote dates from the 17th century, with some alterations made in the mid-19th century and late 20th century. It is constructed from lias stone and features a stone tile roof. The building has two storeys, with a blocked opening on the first floor and a 20th-century entrance located in the right-hand corner. The gable on the roof has a pyramidal shape. The exposed gable to the right is timber-framed with brick infill. Inside, there is an inserted floor that retains wooden nesting boxes above.
