Description
Ivydene is a house dating from the 17th century, with an extension added in the early 19th century. It is constructed from Cotswold stone ashlar and features a Cotswold stone roof that has been extended in brick with a concrete tile roof. The building has an L-shaped plan, with the older limb extending to the southeast and featuring a lateral stack, while the southwest limb is from the 19th century.
On the northwest front, the 17th-century range to the left is two storeys high with an attic, which is illuminated by a 2-light stone mullioned window with a drip mould in the gable. The first floor has a 3-light stone mullioned window with a square label, and the ground floor features a similar 2-light window beneath a wider square label, complete with external wooden shutters. To the right, the 19th-century brick range is also two storeys high, with a 20th-century casement window under a segmental head to the left and a tall stair window in the centre. The ground floor has three 20th-century casement windows. The entrance is located at the rear of the property.
