Description
The Old Farmhouse and Oakdene is a house located on High Street in Honeybourne. It dates from the 17th century, with some alterations made in the mid-19th century and mid-20th century. The building features coursed rubble and a timber frame with brick infill, topped by a slate and tile roof. It has a T-shaped plan, with a cross-wing aligned east to west and another range to the north. The cross-wing has gable-end stacks.
The east front shows the cross-wing on the left, which is two storeys tall with an attic. This section is lit by a two-light stone mullioned window with a drip mould, a three-light stone mullioned window with a square label on the first floor, and a similar window on the ground floor. The range to the right is one storey with an attic, featuring two gabled dormers. The entrance is located in the left-hand corner at the angle, which has a 17th-century ledged and boarded door with a lean-to tiled canopy above. To the right of the entrance is a three-light stone mullioned window with a square label, and beyond that is a wooden casement window next to a glazed door. The gable end to the right reveals exposed timber-framing.
