Description
This is a group of two headstones located approximately 6 metres and 11 metres south of the north transept of the Church of St Eadburgha. They date from around 1700 and are made of limestone. The southern headstone features a top designed as a shaped gable, adorned with scrolls and a swag below, along with carved rosettes. It has an illegible inscription framed by a moulded border. The northern headstone has a flat top and is decorated with drapery and two cherubs' heads, but its inscription is also illegible.
