Description

This is a K6 telephone kiosk located approximately 6 metres west of the Church of St Swithun. It was designed in 1935 by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott and made by various contractors. The kiosk is made of cast iron and has a square shape with a domed roof. It features unperforated crowns on the top panels and margin glazing on the windows and door. This kiosk is an important part of the streetscape and forms a notable group with the Church of St Swithun and Giulio's Restaurant, which is situated in the Old Grammar School.
