Description
This large terraced house, now used as offices, dates from the late 18th century and has undergone later additions and alterations. It is constructed of red brick with painted stone dressings and features a plain clay tile roof that is partially hidden behind a parapet, with coped parapets at the gables. There is a stack located on the left side of the building. The layout is double-depth with a central hallway.
The facade is symmetrical and consists of three storeys and a cellar, with five windows on the first floor. The stone detailing includes a doorcase, cornice, copings on the parapets, sills, and keystones above the window heads. The windows are 6/6 sashes throughout, set in plain reveals with sills and gauged flat brick arches topped with capped keystones.
Access to the entrance is via four stone steps, which lead to a Doric-style open pediment doorcase adorned with triglyphs. The door itself is a six-panel design, with the upper panel raised and fielded, while the bottom pair is flush-beaded. Above the door is a radial-pattern fanlight featuring timber and metal glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected.
