Description

The monument to the Perkins family, located about 7 metres south of the tower of the Church of St Kenelm in Clifton Upon Teme, is a Grade II listed structure. This tea-caddy shaped monument commemorates James Perkins, who died in 1813. It has a square plan and is made of ashlar stone, featuring reeded corner pilasters and a fluted frieze adorned with corner paterae. The monument is topped with a shaped capping that has a concave finial. Inscriptions can be found on the north and east faces, although they are mostly illegible.
