Description

Pool Cottage is a house from the 17th and 18th centuries, constructed with a timber frame and red brick, topped with a plain tile roof. It features one ridge stack and a large external stack on the south gable end. A modern addition at the west end, known as Overgreen Cottage, is not included in the listing.

The house is two stories and has a T-shaped plan. The timber framing is exposed in the east end crosswing, while the main range is made of red brick with a coped gable at the original west end. On the south side, there is a ground floor casement window with a cambered head and a three-light window on the first floor. The north side has two gabled dormers and first floor casement windows, which include two-light, two-light, and a modern three-light window. The ground floor has been altered, featuring a two-window range of casements and a central door on the east side.
