Description
Bank House Hotel is a former public house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a tile roof. The building has two storeys with an attic and consists of five bays. There are two storey bands, and on the ground floor, you will find two large gabled square bay windows with casements that have glazing bars. The first floor has casement windows with segmental heads, supported by timber mullions and transoms. Three dormers are present in the attic. The middle bay features a late 18th-century doorcase, which is set under a 20th-century timber porch. This doorcase includes an open pediment, pilasters with palm leaf capitals, and paterae. The doorway is adorned with a fanlight that has Gothick glazing. The building has coped gables and a chimney located on the left side.
Inside, there are partly-dismantled remains of a stair with a closed string and turned balusters.
