Description
The stables north of Bannut Tree House, built in 1890 by C F A Voysey, are a single-storey structure with a loft and a roughcast exterior topped by a tile roof. The building features four bays, with shallow horizontal windows divided by timber mullions and fitted with rectangular leaded panes. There are doors between the first and second bays and the third and fourth bays, which are equipped with iron strap hinges. The eaves overhang, supported by slim curved iron brackets, and a chimney is located on the ridge in line with the third bay. The gables display applied close-studded timbering on the upper storey, which includes loading doors at both ends. The rear wall is reinforced with buttresses at intervals and extends eastward to form a garden wall.
