Description
16, Old Street is an early 19th-century building that has been refaced in stucco, originally part of a later 18th-century range. It stands three stories high with a parapet and features a three-window arrangement of sliding sashes, which include margin lights and glazing bars, all topped with hood moulds. There is a platband above the ground floor and a sill band beneath the second-floor windows. The central door consists of six panels, has an arched head, and is adorned with a radiating bar fanlight. The doorcase is an attractive early 19th-century feature, showcasing incised ornamentation on the pilasters and the hood soffit. To the right, there is an arched entry leading to a through passage. The building was originally part of a single range with No 14.
