Description
Nos 22 and 24 on Old Street in Upton-upon-Severn are a pair of mid-18th century red brick houses that have been refronted from an earlier structure. They are two stories high with an attic and feature a plain tile roof that has a central eaves chimney stack, which is flanked by two dormers. There is also a brick stack at the south end. The front has a four-window range of glazing bar sashes with exposed boxes and gauged brick flat window heads. Number 22 has a 19th-century shopfront, while number 24 has an altered 18th-century shopfront with a fluted frieze and a 19th-century shop window. Inside, there is a ground floor room with a late 18th-century plaster frieze, two alcoves, and a wood fireplace adorned with stamped metal ornament. The rear of the building features two gables.
