Description
Earl's Croome House, formerly known as The Firs, is a late 18th-century house constructed of red brick, featuring a hipped slate roof and chimneys on the rear wall. The building stands three stories tall and has a three-window range. It is adorned with a moulded wood parapet cornice and glazing bar sash windows. The south front and east side showcase painted stone incised voussoirs and keystones, with cornice strips above the ground and first-floor windows. A round arched doorway is highlighted by an intersecting tracery fanlight and an open pediment doorcase with Roman Doric detailing. At the back, there is a gabled brick wing, along with a 19th-century one-story extension on the west side. The house shares a similar architectural style with Hazeldene, Earl's Croome, and other houses in Upton upon Severn, such as The Rectory and Hiltons.
