Description

This lych gate, located about 50 yards north-west of the Church of St Michael, has origins dating back to the 15th century. It features a timber frame set on a rubble base, topped with a stone-tiled roof arranged in diminishing courses. The roof is supported by arch-braced tie-beam trusses with raking struts, and the wall-plates are also arch-braced. The lych gate includes a central pair of timber gates equipped with old iron latches.
