GV II Farmhouse. Late C16, with mid to late C19 repairs and alterations. Handmade brick on sandstone rubble base with rubble additions; plain tiled roofs with large brick stacks to north and west. L-plan with large wing to west of south range.
Two storeys and attic with three-course band at first floor level and two-course band at attic floor level and above attic level. Main east elevation: windows are mainly replacement cross-casements except for a C19 casement of three lights on the ground floor of the south range. There are two windows on both floors of the south range and at the east end of the north range. The main entrance is at the south end of the south range and has a C19 porch with an embattled parapet and a half-glazed C19 door. Additional single-storey wings adjoin to the south and west.
Interior is recorded to have retained its original internal arrangements with a long hall in the south range, the parlour in the upper north wing and the kitchen on the west side. At the west end of the parlour is recorded to be a room with richly moulded ceiling beams forming rectangular compartments. The original open-well staircase is also recorded to survive which has heavily moulded newels, moulded handrails and turned balusters.
