SO 83 NW LONGDON PIPERS END 1/26 GV Pipers End Farmhouse

II

Farmhouse C16 to C17 with later additions. Original range timber-framed with red brick panels, East side addition in blue lias stone. Earlier range is L plan, 2 storey and probably of 2 periods. 2 ridge stacks, one to each range. North range has framing exposed on North wall and West gable. Three 1st floor windows and one modern ground floor window to North wall. West end 3-light ground floor window and 2-light window to left above. Heavy queen strut trusses. On South side a lean-to and cross range, gabled at South end. Blue lias stone ground floor with cambered head window and C19 brick to gable with blocked window. One dormer on West side. Attached to East is tall blue lias stone range, probably C18, with low pitch modern tile roof and C19 East end stack. One window range, C19 casements in red brick section of wall, one gabled dormer. Door to left. Some timber-framing in West gable.
