Description

High House Farmhouse is an early 19th-century rebuilding of a 17th-century house. It is constructed of red brick with a plain tile roof and has end wall stacks to the front range. The east front has two storeys and a three-window arrangement, featuring casement windows with cambered heads and top lights. A basement retaining a stone mullioned window is present at the front and rear, and a large 17th-century basement door is located on the north side. The north gable end of the rear range features cambered head windows, potentially dating to the early 18th century. The farmhouse contains an early 18th-century staircase with a moulded handrail, newels, and closed strings.
