Description

Walton Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse with alterations made in the mid-19th century and mid-20th century. It is constructed of handmade brick with sandstone dressings, and has a machine-tiled hipped roof with large end stacks. The building is two storeys with an attic, featuring a sandstone band at the first-floor and attic floor levels. A moulded timber eaves cornice runs along the top. The farmhouse has three bays, with windows featuring cambered heads and 3-light casements. The central entrance is sheltered by a hooded canopy supported on shaped brackets and has a 4-panelled door with a transom light containing a central glazing bar. An attic window is located on the right side. The interior is reported to have been remodelled. Later 19th-century and 20th-century additions extend to the rear of the building.
