Description

Aldham House is a house dating from the early 18th century, with extensions added in the mid-19th century and some alterations in the mid-20th century. The house is constructed of brick with stone dressings and a slate roof, featuring stacks at the rear. The main, south-facing front has two storeys, a stone band, and flush ashlar quoins; it contains five windows, each with an 8-pane flush boxed sash under a wedge lintel with a stone keystone. The ground floor central entrance has a flat canopy supported by wooden brackets, above a panelled door. To the left-hand side, a projecting range of the 19th century extends to the rear.
