Description

The Dusthouse is a house dating to the late 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-18th century and late 19th century, and restored in the late 1970s. The house is timber-framed and rendered, with a sandstone ashlar ground floor and brick cladding, topped with a tile roof. It has a baffle-entry to the front, shielding a central stack featuring diamond-plan shafts. The house is two storeys high with an attic, lit by fixed casements in the two gables. The first floor has three windows; two four-light casements are flanked by a fixed casement. The ground floor has a central entrance with a 19th-century gabled porch, featuring a Tudor arch and a ledged-and-boarded door.
