Description
The Former Manager's House, now used as offices, was built in 1845 by Henry J. Marlen. This building features red brick construction with a hipped slate roof and brick end stacks, forming an L-plan layout. It has two storeys and a symmetrical three-window range. At the front, there is a porch leading to a round-arched doorway, which contains a panelled door with a fanlight above. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, set within round-arched recesses. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value with the former pump house, which is an early example of municipal architecture.
