Description
Nos. 6, 7, and 8 Lower Rushall Street is a terrace of three houses built around 1800, with 20th-century alterations and refurbishment. The houses are made of red brick laid in Flemish bond and topped with a plain tile roof that features a coped stone gable at the south end. There are three brick chimney stacks along the ridge of the front and rear roof range.
Each house has a single bay, is three storeys high, and has a double-depth layout. The exterior of each house includes a doorway on the left and windows on the right. The late 20th-century doorways consist of a six-panel door set within a timber pilaster doorcase, topped with a triangular pediment; the doorcase for No. 6 is a late 20th-century reproduction. The ground and first floors feature eight-over-eight sash windows with stucco lintels that have stepped keystones and chamfered voussoirs. The ground floor windows were installed in the late 20th century. The second floor has three-over-three sash windows. On the south elevation of No. 6, there is evidence of a former attached building. The interior was not inspected in 2013.
