Description

The Firs is a building from the 18th century that has been slightly altered in the 19th century. It has a square plan and is constructed of red brick with a hipped tiled roof featuring a corbelled brick cornice. The building stands three storeys tall and has three nearly flush windows. The second floor has casement windows, while the ground and first floors feature 19th-century sash windows with marginal glazing bars. The central entrance includes a panelled door and a fanlight with glazing bars set in an arched reveal, framed by Doric pilasters and an open pediment. The Firs, along with the barn and gate piers at The Firs, form a group.
