Description

Moat House is a building dating from the 16th or early 17th century. It features a timber frame with red brick nogging and a gabled tiled roof. The house has two storeys and a recessed centre, with two early chimneystacks—one polygonal and the other with diagonally set joined shafts, both topped with moulded corbelled caps. The windows are flush casement. There is a modern porch on the left side elevation, and the ground floor of the back elevation has stonework. Moat House is part of a group that includes the Church of Saint Lawrence, Church Farmhouse, The Glebe House, and The Vicarage.
