Description

Meriden House is an early 19th century house situated within its grounds. The entrance front is of colour-washed brick, while the garden front is stuccoed. It has a low-pitched, hipped roof covered in Welsh slates with a wide eaves cornice. The house is two storeys high, featuring sash windows with glazing bars. The garden front has five windows, with first-floor louvred shutters. Ground floor windows on the entrance front have wooden blinds. A central Doric porch shelters a half-glazed door with a fanlight featuring radiating glazing bars. The first floor of the entrance front has a tall, round-arched window with impost blocks above a half-glazed, two-panel door set in a flush-panelled reveal. The door surround consists of slim Doric pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice. Louvred shutters are present on the ground floor windows of the entrance front.
