Description

This 19th-century engine house, originally a pumping station at Earlswood Lakes, is constructed of red brick with a low-pitched roof covered in Welsh slate, topped by a brick cornice. Gables are at each end. The building is three stories high and has two tall, narrow windows with glazing bars set beneath cambered relieving arches. A low, single-story addition is located on the southwest side. The building is listed primarily for its historical significance related to the Stratford upon Avon Canal.
