Description
Langley Hall is a house that has been converted into offices and a store. It likely dates back to the 17th century but was altered in the early 19th century and again in the mid- or late 19th century. The exterior is pebble-dashed with a slate roof and features an H-plan layout. The building has two storeys, with a two-bay center flanked by one-bay cross-wings. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, and above each window is a lintel with a central fluted panel and a cornice supported by brackets. Between the two central bays, there is a single-storey porch added in the late 19th century, which has a parapet. The chimneys are located on the left side, one to the right of the left-hand wing behind the ridge, and another to the left of the right-hand wing. Inside, the doors and staircase that were visible during the survey are of a later 19th-century style. Although the current windows are from the early 19th century, the overall plan and roof pitch indicate that the house has an earlier origin.
