Description
The Five Ways Inn is a public house located at Robert Street, Lower Gornal. It dates to 1821, although it has undergone subsequent alterations. The inn is constructed of coursed local stone, with two storeys. It features two modern casement windows, a plain doorway on the right-hand side with a modern rectangular fanlight above a modern door, a string course, gabled ends, stone eaves, and modern tiles. An oval stone tablet is set into the first storey, bearing the initials J.B.M. and the date above. Modern inn windows are present, and there is a further date marking.
