Description
Nos 147 and 149 Green Lane are a pair of small semi-detached villas built around 1830-1840, featuring a stucco exterior and flanking coach houses, creating a symmetrical appearance. The ground floor is channelled up to the first-floor sill band. The party wall is highlighted by a broad pilaster strip with incised Soanian panels on each floor. Each villa has two first-floor windows and one ground-floor window, all with revealed glazing bar sashes. The doorways are framed by slender incised panel pilasters topped with deep entablatures and shallow cornices. The reveals and soffits of the five-panel doors are panelled and include rectangular marginal glazed fanlights. There are passage doors that connect to the two-storey coach houses, which feature pediments. Above the segmental arched coach doors, there is a round arch window.
