Description
Nos 11 and 12 on The Green in Wadenhoe are two houses dating from the mid 18th century and 19th century. They are built from squared coursed limestone and feature a Collyweston slate roof. Originally, they were likely designed as one-unit plans. The buildings are two storeys high and together form a four-window range of casements, which have glazing bars and are set beneath stop-chamfered wood lintels. The first-floor windows are located under hipped eaves dormers. There is a plank door on the far left, also under a stop-chamfered lintel, along with a similar blocked door opening on the far right. The gable ends have ashlar parapets with finial blocks at the eaves, and there are remnants of ashlar stacks at the ends. At the rear, there are 19th-century lean-to extensions. The interiors have not been inspected.
