Description

Oldknow Secondary School, built between 1903 and 1905 by Buckland, is located on Oldknow Road in Small Heath. The building is constructed of variegated brick with some polychromy. It is two storeys high and features six bays, each with large casement windows that have glazing bars. These windows are set back and framed by tall, segment-headed arched panels with hollow moulding. A dentilled course runs along the stone coping. To the right of the school is the Master's house, No 78 Oldknow Street, but only the school itself is listed.
