Description

The railings and gate piers to Oldknow Secondary School and Number 78 were built between 1903 and 1905 by the architect Buckland. They feature red brick piers with stone caps that are subtly detailed. The design includes a dwarf wall topped with iron coping and railings that exhibit a quiet originality characteristic of the Arts and Crafts movement.
