Description

HARBORNE PARK ROAD 1. 5104 Harborne B17 No 110 (Field House) SP 08 SW 11/24 19.2.73 II 2. Early C19, the core probably C18. Engraved cement; 3 storeys; front of 3 windows, the outers tripartite sash with moulded cornices, the central with arched head and interlaced pointed glazing bars. Ground storey has mid-late C19 projecting bay of one storey overall with central arched entrance, 3 sash windows at each side, coupled pilasters, moulded cornice and low parapet; recessed doorway with arched head, plain fanlight and door with modern metal facing; projecting eaves, lined and with wood brackets; renewed brick stacks; hipped slate roof. Early C20 additions comprising bay on left hand side having small paned gabled dormer with cement underhang and, on returned side to south, a 4 light wood mullioned bay window tiered over first and second storeys. Long 2 storeyed wing of circa 1840 extends at rear. Large garden at rear said to contain a Roman well.
