Description
Eagle House is an 18th-century building with early 19th-century alterations. It is constructed of cement-rendered brick and has three storeys featuring five modern casement windows. A projecting bay with a lean-to tile roof extends over the ground storey, which has plain pilasters, one modern casement window, and a stone pilaster doorcase with an entablature and a modern divided door. The eaves are plain and covered with tiles. The garden elevation is made of painted brick and includes four sash windows in stone keyed surrounds, along with three French windows on the ground storey that are similarly treated. There is a moulded stone eaves cornice, a parapet, and a projecting two-storey wing on the right-hand side. The interior has been generally remodelled in the early 19th century and features a two-storeyed hall with a good staircase and Tuscan columns flanking the original entrance.
