Description
Five Lands House, located at 98 Alcester Road in Moseley, dates from around 1830 to 1840. This two-storey building features a three-bay front made of red brick. It has a moulded stucco band at the flat eaves of its hipped slate roof, and the chimneys are arcaded with dentil cappings. The house has revealed glazing bar sash windows on both floors, which are topped with flat gauged arches and supported by stucco block sills. The entrance boasts a panelled pilaster strip doorway, adorned with coupled console brackets supporting a cornice above. The door itself is glazed and panelled, accompanied by a rectangular fanlight. The house is set back from the road with a carriage sweep, and there is a modern wing added to the right side.
