Description

This is a canal side warehouse dating from around 1840, located at Warwick Bar on the Warwick and Birmingham Canal. The warehouse is constructed of red brick and features a roof with eaves that extend over a stop lock and wharf adjacent to the Warwick Bar lock. The roof, which is modern and covered with asbestos sheeting, is supported by cast iron columns arranged in seven bays, with the columns becoming narrower at each end. The structure also has exposed braced half trusses and segmental arched openings in the warehouse walls, most of which are blocked. Additionally, there is a stone dressed brick lock and stop lock.
