Description
The Holliday Street Canal Aqueduct, dated 1870, is a cast iron framed structure that carries the canal from Gas Street Basin over the road in Edgbaston, Birmingham. The trough of the aqueduct is supported by segmental brick vaults, which are held up by guiders and cross guiders resting on decorative cast iron columns located along the pavement edges on both sides of the road. The iron bridge parapets feature diamond patterned panels.
