Description
The structure is a wall with ramps leading down to the canal, located to the right of Number 16 on Gas Street. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of brick with semi-circular coping bricks. The wall stands 8 feet high and features an altered opening that leads to ridged brick ramps, which extend over an arched recess down to the canal site. There is also a subsidiary door within the wall.
