Description

The Old School House is an early 18th-century building located on Barrow Well Lane. It is constructed of red brick with a sandstone plinth and stands two storeys high. The façade features five modern casement windows with keyblocks on the lower sections. There is a recessed door that is topped with a moulded wood canopy. A string course runs along the building, and the eaves are moulded brick, topped with old tiles. A plaque on the building records its history as the old parish school, which was founded in 1724. The building is now a private house.
