Description

This is a mid-18th century property, numbered 17 and 19 Abbey Hill, and previously listed as number 17, Cumnor House. It is constructed of red brick with 2 storeys. The front elevation features five 19th-century transomed mullioned windows, each with original keyblocks and flat arches. Moulded plaster eaves and two hipped dormers are visible, as is an old tiled hipped roof. The returned side of the building has two canted bay windows with Gothic glazing, both topped with slate dormers. Ground floor louvred shutters are present. Entry is via a four-panel door, accompanied by a fanlight with radiating glazing bars. The doorway is framed by flush panelled pilasters and a frieze, finished with a cornice.
