Description

The dovecote at the rear of Number 7 on Church Lane is a red brick structure dating from the 18th century. It has a square plan and features a steeply pitched plain tile roof with four gables. The dovecote is adorned with decorative late 19th-century bargeboards and includes a 19th-century glazed lantern topped with a pyramidal tile roof and flight holes. A 19th-century wrought iron weather vane is also present. The building has two storeys and an attic, with entrance doors located on the north and south elevations. Each elevation has one slatted window opening at the first floor. Inside, the first and attic levels are lined with brick pigeon holes and ledges.
