Description

No. 6 Hampton Street dates to the earlier 19th century. It is a red brick building with rusticated stucco flat arches and keyblocks above the windows. The roof is covered with Welsh slate. The building has a half basement and two storeys. Eight stone steps with handrails lead up to the front doorway. There are three sash windows with glazing bars in the reveals. The front door is a five-panel door, set within a stucco reveal. It is flanked by Doric pilasters with incised fret ornament, surmounted by an entablature and a rectangular fanlight with glazing bars.
