Description
No 18 and No 18A on Jury Street is an 18th-century building that stands three stories tall with a three-window facade. The openings on the side bays have moulded architraves but are currently blocked up. The center bay features three-light windows, with a semi-circular shape on the second floor and square-headed on the first floor, accented by slender pilasters and an entablature. To the right, there is an impressive pedimented doorcase that includes moulded console brackets, a semi-circular-headed fanlight, and a six-flush-panel door. No 18 has a wide modern shopfront with metal glazing bars. The building has a bracketed cornice at the eaves and is covered with Welsh slates. It is noted that No 18 is said to have an 18th-century staircase. All the listed buildings on the south side of Jury Street form a group.
