Description

Big House Farmhouse is a timber-framed house dating from the 16th or 17th century, with its main elevations rendered. It features a steeply pitched plain tile roof with gabled ends and stands two storeys tall. The front has two modern ground floor bay windows and two modern gables, both with modern casements. The east (right-hand) end of the house has exposed timber framing. To the west (left-hand) is a lower, one storey and attic gabled cross-wing that is from the 17th century. The house has large chimney stacks with brick diagonal shafts and a 19th-century wing at the rear (north).
