Description
Station House is a small red brick building from the late 18th century. It features a plain tile roof with both gabled and hipped ends, and has brick dentil eaves. The house is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with the right-hand bay being a mid-19th century addition. The windows are sashes with glazing bars set in segmental-headed openings, and the ground floor windows have small keystones. The central doorway is framed by a moulded architrave with a dentilled cornice and a fielded panel door. There are brick ridge stacks on the roof. Originally built as a public house, it later served as the station master's house for the nearby Hatton Station, and is situated alongside the canal.
