Description

Snowford Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the mid-18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It features a coursed squared stone plinth, red brick construction, and an old plain-tile hipped roof with a central well, along with a brick end stack on the left side. The building has a square plan and is three stories high with a three-window range, facing north. The main entrance is a 19th-century sash door located in the center, which has an overlight and a wooden surround with a pediment hood supported by brackets. All openings have 19th-century wooden cross-windows with segmental brick heads, and there is a dentil brick course at the eaves.

On the left side, there is a three-story, two-bay range. The ground floor has 20th-century windows set in dropped openings, while the first and second floors feature 19th-century wooden cross-windows, all with segmental brick heads. Inside, there is a re-sited 18th-century straight-flight staircase leading from the ground to the first floor, which has a baluster balustrade. Another straight-flight staircase connects the first floor to the second floor. Chamfered spine beams with ogee end stops, some boxed in from the 19th century, are visible on all floors.
