Description

HUNNINGHAM SP36NE 6/9 Snowford Farmhouse - II Farmhouse. Probably mid C18, with some C20 alterations. Coursed squared stone plinth; red brick; old plain-tile hipped roof with central well; brick end stack to left. Square plan. 3-storey, 3-window range. Main front to north. C19 sash door to centre having overlight and C19 wood surround with pediment hood on brackets. C19 wood cross-windows to all openings, with segmental brick heads. Dentil brick course to eaves. Left return: 3-storey, 2-bay range. C20 windows to dropped openings to ground floor. C19 wood cross-windows to first and second floors, all with segmental brick heads. Interior: re-sited C18 straight-flight staircase from ground to first floors having baluster balustrade. Straight-flight staircase from first floor to second floor. Chamfered spine beams with ogee end stops (some boxed C19) visible on all floors. [ 52]
