Description

Hunningham Hill Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates back to the early 17th century, now serving as a cross-wing on the right side. The main range was built in the 18th century and later encased, probably in the late 18th century, with a 19th-century addition at the end of the cross-wing. The building is constructed of red brick and features an old plain-tile roof, with a brick stack at the left end and a ridge stack near the center on the right.

The farmhouse is a single storey with an attic and has a four-window range, with the cross-wing located to the right. There is a 19th-century six-panel door positioned to the left of center, accompanied by a 19th-century bay window on the left that has a hipped roof forming a porch. The windows include three-light casements with segmental brick heads in the center and to the right of center, along with a gabled dormer to the left of center featuring a three-light casement. The end of the cross-wing has 19th-century windows. On the right side, there is a fragmentary survival of 17th-century timber-framing, which has been painted with 19th-century false framing.

Inside, the farmhouse is noted for having a large open fireplace in the center room on the ground floor, and there is an 18th-century cupboard to the right of the fireplace in the ground floor left room.
