Description
No. 5 Leam Terrace is a villa built in the mid-19th century, with later additions and alterations, including restorations from the late 20th century. The building features pinkish-brown brick and an unpainted stucco front facade that is scored to imitate ashlar, topped with a Welsh slate roof. It has two storeys and three first-floor windows. The first floor has 6/6 sash windows set in plain reveals with sills. On the ground floor, there are steps leading to an off-centre left entrance, which consists of a 4-panel, part-glazed door with a 3-pane overlight, framed by a tooled architrave, frieze, and cornice. Additionally, there are 10-pane French windows with divided overlights, also in plain reveals with tooled architrave, frieze, and cornice. The roof is hipped, featuring an off-centre ridge and end stacks with cornices. The interior is noted for retaining original plasterwork and joinery, including shutters on the ground-floor windows. This villa is part of a group with Nos 7 and 9 Leam Terrace.
